STORY
The first wave of COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai lasted a month in Spring Festival 2020. Many domestic migrants had to stay and work, instead of travelling to meet families. The paranoia of physical contact made deliveries, security check-points a hyper-presence for everyone trapped within Shanghai.
The film weaves the lives of three individuals together, each person crucial to sustain this social system - the security guard Wong, the delivery man Shao, and the young professional Kay whose parents were in Wuhan. Without knowing each other, they each tried to give themselves right where they were while checking on their families thousands of miles away.
